We have an incredible son. His name is Elisee. We met him on our first vision trip to West Africa and the Lord confirmed in our hearts that he was ours right away. We pursued adoption immediately and he was “adopted” according to the French paperwork in 2015 but when we flew to pick him up and bring him home, we were denied a travel visa by the US Embassy.
It’s 2022 and our Elisee is still in West Africa. Some may see this as a failed adoption, we still have hope. We know he is ours and we are his and all of us are in the hands of a loving God who does not make mistakes.
